Erin Ness is a fresh new face on the poker scene, but she has been playing poker since she was a kid. Erin grew up in Ocean Beach on the Jersey Shore. She learned the game from her family, who used to play card games like gin rummy, hearts, war, and poker for hours on end. When she went to college at Georgetown, her classmates recall Erin getting at least three games in per week.

After graduating from Georgetown University, and getting a job as a photo assistant with Maxim Magazine, Ness won the buy-in money and a spot at the WSOP from Maxim (through an in-house contest). She became the third highest female finisher at the WSOP Main Event, and placed 46th at the $5,000 no limit event at the 2005 WSOP.
