Rogers is one of those actresses who, through
no fault of her own, has never quite been able
to break through to the mainstream market. Despite
roles in such classic movies as Someone to
Watch Over Me and the Mighty Quinn,
she has also starred in the big-budget movie Lost
in Space, as well as the hilarious Austin
Powers: International Man of Mystery.
She’s definitely not
a stranger to the world of poker, either. Her
father, an avid card player, taught her when she
was a kid, and even took her to play blackjack
in the casinos in Tahoe when she was 15. Apparently,
being a woman helps, too. “Sometimes,”
she says, “when guys play against a woman,
they just refuse to believe you know what you're
doing… so I actually can make money that
way.” And she’s not kidding: though
she didn't win at the Celebrity
Poker Showdown, she once won $900,000 in a
single poker game!
