in Toronto, Ontario, Catherine O'hara became very
involved in comedy. Catherine was party of the
comedy group Second City in the early 1970's which
lead to her becoming one of the original founders
of a comedic television show titled SCTV in 1976.
With countless movies under her belt, Catherine
is probably best known for her role as the mother
in Home Alone (1990) and Home Alone 2 (1992).
Other notable roles include her role in Beetlejuice
(1987); the voices of Sally and Shock in Tim Burton's
A Nightmare Before Christmas (1993); Best in Show
(2000); and Orange County (2002).
