Amy Poehler didn't do as well as she'd hoped at
the Celebrity
Poker Showdown, she definitely held her own,
taking out poor Hank Azaria with a flush -- and
ruining his dreams of winning on his second tournament
attempt -- before being eliminated. But that definitely
won't keep this girl down: she's nothing if not
feisty!
Amy is now in her third year
as a cast member on Saturday Night Live, which
she joined through the Upright Citizens Brigade,
a sketch comedy and improv group known for spawning
hilarious talent. Some of her most memorable characters
on SNL are her spot-on, terrific impressions of
Sharon Osbourne, Kelly Ripa, Avril Lavigne and
even Michael Jackson. She’s also starred
in such movies as Deuce Bigalow, Male Gigolo
as a very committed narcoleptic and Envy
opposite Jack Black and Ben Stiller.
